Ewan wins the third stage of the Tour de France, Alaphilippe retains the overall lead | News


SISTERON, France (Reuters) – Australian Caleb Ewan won the third stage of the Tour de France on Monday, a rolling 198 km course along the Alpine foothills.

Ireland’s Sam Bennett finished second.

The French Julian Alaphilippe kept the yellow jersey of the leader of the general.

Tuesday’s fourth stage is a 160.5 km effort from Sisteron to Orcières-Merlette for the first finish at the top of the race.
