EastEnders legend Ian Beale is reportedly being ripped from future episodes of the soap opera for an extended hiatus.Actor Adam Woodyatt will apparently not be onscreen for around 10 weeks according to reports.

Right before the series returns to screens, and Ian ready to take center stage, an “explosive twist” will cause the character to take a while, as is claimed.

A BBC source told the Daily Star about the hiatus and said it was due to a plot on the BBC soap opera.

A separate source added, “The writers are keeping a low profile on what’s going on, so it’s not clear just what the future holds for the character.

They said, “It will be strange for viewers not to have Ian onscreen for so long. But it will be good for Adam to spend some time after working on the show for so long.

The BBC and Adam declined to respond to requests for comment, the publication claims.
