Dorinda Medley was fired from ‘RHONY’ for being a ‘nasty drunkard’

You really have to reverse them to make the “Real Housewives” think you are drinking too much. But Page Six learns that Dorinda Medley was indeed fired from the “Real Housewives of New York City” because she had become a “drunken villain” in the series. (The source meant that Medley would get mean when she was drunk, not that she had become “a drunk.”)

We are told that Medley was “blinded” by the news that she had been abandoned by the Bravo show after six seasons. She had filmed an episode of ABC’s “The $ 100,000 Pyramid” when she got the call.

Meanwhile, sassy sources tell Page Six that Medley – who, for example, repeatedly mocked Luann de Lesseps for his alcohol-related arrest – surprised his co-stars by not acknowledging that ‘she had crossed the line.

“If she had said [at the end of the season], “Listen – I was depressed and that’s why I act like this”, or “my [husband Richard, who died in 2011]”, And said she would work on it, I think it would have been different,” a source said.

She had become “a bad drunk,” the insider said. “That’s just not where they want the show to go.

The source said the executives didn’t want another season of Medley’s abrasive behavior and decided to look for a new co-star instead.

Another added, “In this climate of social justice and cancellation culture, she was not a good representative of the show or the network.”

Of course, the Lesseps co-star has struggled publicly with alcoholism, having gone to rehab multiple times during her time on the show. But the source said the difference is that De Lesseps’ drinking didn’t change the dynamic of the series, while Medley’s alcohol blasts became a drag.

A representative for Bravo declined to comment and Medley did not respond.
