A man and two children died after a car skidded on a road and plunged into water in County Donegal, Gardaí (Irish police) said.
This happened at Three Trees, Quigleys Point, around 10:20 p.m. local time on Thursday.
A six-year-old girl, a 14-year-old boy and a 49-year-old man who drove the car died at the scene.
A 45-year-old woman managed to get out of the car and asked for help. She was taken to Letterkenny Hospital.
She is being treated for injuries that are not life threatening, according to Gardaí.
In a statement, they said the car was traveling from the village of Muff in Donegal to Quigley’s Point before the crash.
Gardaí said the driver “lost control and the vehicle skidded on the road and on the embankment and plunged into the water”.
