Denise had claimed that cheating on a sexual partner wasn’t as bad as emotional infidelity, but Tim begged to differ in a now-deleted angry tweet aimed at his ex-wife.
He wrote: “I just looked at the cowardly women of yesterday.
“Denise in her day would talk about how okay it was to have casual sex behind the bike shed even though she was married.
“Day after day, year after year, she talked about our private life. Long suffering Tim Healy, I’m no longer xx.
Denise had spoken out on Monday’s Loose Women show saying that when she said she could forgive a partner for cheating, she was in a dark place.
The former soap opera actress said, “My husband and I both agree that we have held on too long and are making each other miserable and luckily we have a great friendship now.
“I really used to think that being unfaithful wasn’t the worst thing you can do in a relationship. There was infidelity on both sides… what you girls know.
Denise continued, “I didn’t used to think there was someone I could meet who would give me everything and stop me wanting to cheat, I really didn’t… and then I met Lincoln and we took the alcohol out of our lives.
“Drinking and drugs are ruining your moral compass… basically you don’t have one and I realize it now.”
Denise went on to say that her relationship was in a good shape and that she would feel deflated if she saw any clue that he was playing away from home.
She continued, “I now have a husband who I trust 100%. It would kill me if I even saw text messages.
“I can still appreciate how attractive people are, but I have found a man that I love and I like him and I am a completely different person now. ”
Tim wasn’t quite on the same wavelength as Denise on this.
The couple married between 1988 and 2012 and they share two sons – Matt, who is the singer of 1975 and Louis, who is an actor.
Before Tim’s social media explosion, the couple had a friendly relationship that saw them spend Christmas with their current partners.
Denise married Lincoln Townley a year after her split from Tim in 2013, while Tim married Joan Anderton in 2015.
