COVID-19: Health officials announce 46 new cases, no new deaths

Provincial health officials on Tuesday confirmed 46 more cases of COVID-19 in British Columbia.

There are now 4,111 cases in total in the province, according to updated figures from Health Minister Adrian Dix and Dr Bonnie Henry, the provincial health officer.

Some 472 cases remain active, while 3,444 people who tested positive have recovered.

Eight people are treated in hospital, including five in intensive care.

No new deaths were reported on Tuesday; 195 people have died from the coronavirus in British Columbia.

There has been no new outbreak in health facilities. Eight establishments are currently struggling with active outbreaks.

There was also no new community outbreak to announce, and there is now one less in the province after the outbreak of Krazy Cherry Fruit Co. was declared in the indoor health region on Tuesday.
