“Wrong! “: Trump disagrees with Fauci on increase in US cases

US President Donald Trump took to Twitter to publicly disagree with Dr Anthony Fauci, the country’s leading infectious disease expert, on why coronavirus cases continue to rise in the United States.

Testifying before the House special subcommittee on the coronavirus crisis on Friday, Dr Fauci said he believed that the increase in the number of cases in the United States was due to the varying scope of lockdowns imposed by each state.

« There are states which have done it very well, there are states which have not“Said Fauci, by CBS.

However, Trump once again made his disproved claim that the U.S. coronavirus numbers are only a reflection of the level of testing being done in the country, tweeting: ” False! We have more cases because we have tested a lot more than any other country, 60,000,000.

« If we tested less, there would be fewer cases. How did Italy, France and Spain do? Today, Europe unfortunately has outbreaks. Most of our governors worked hard and smart. We will be back STRONG! “
