Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers made his season debut; Mookie Betts (finger) day to day

Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, a late scratch to open the season last month, allowed three hits and struck six in 5th innings in his 2020 debut on Sunday against the Diamondbacks on Sunday. Arizona.Kershaw started with a 3-0 lead, having thrown 81 shots, including 57 for strikes. It didn’t work. Shortly after Kershaw left the game, Dodgers right-back Mookie Betts left with a sore middle finger in his left hand.

Betts hit a home run that splashed into the Chase Field pool past the field wall to center right in the fifth inning. He appeared to have injured his finger earlier at batting, and the star right fielder was pulled for a pinched hitter in the seventh.
