She was also admitted to the hospital with high blood pressure and suspected kidney failure in July.
Chi Chi told fans she had heart and kidney catheters surgically installed before she had dialysis.
She lived with scleroderma, a rare, life-threatening disease caused by the immune system attacking the tissues under the skin and around internal organs and blood vessels, which can also cause scarring and thickening of the tissues.
Chi Chi is the stage name of Zavion Davenport’s stage name, who appeared in the eighth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
She also starred in the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
It comes just days after Chi Chi posted a video of herself in a hospital gown.
She said, “Hey guys, I’m back [hospital].
“Keep me in your prayers, I’ll be back soon. ”
Originally, she went to the hospital with suspected kidney failure and was discharged a few days later in July.
Always open with her fans, her camera rotated when she was undergoing dialysis.
Chi Chi is the second Drag Race competitor to die following the death of season two competitor Sahara Davenport.
Sahara died of heart failure in 2012.
