Chelsea’s preparations for the new season have been rocked after being hit by a coronavirus outbreak.
The west London club have confirmed that a number of players have tested positive for Covid-19 and are in quarantine to limit the threat of spread within Frank Lampard’s squad.
Sports messaging knows the identities of four currently isolated Chelsea stars.

The players all underwent coronavirus tests late last week ahead of their scheduled return to pre-season training.
But due to the need to quarantine, a number of Chelsea players have yet to report to the club’s headquarters in Cobham.
Before Chelsea players underwent their checks, it emerged last week that there had been a surge in cases in the league following the players’ summer vacation.

Fourteen positive tests have been recorded at 12 different clubs which resumed pre-season training early last week, including Sheffield United, West Ham and Brighton.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have confirmed the signing of left-back Ben Chilwell for around £ 50million from Leicester. And they are set to cross the £ 220million mark by making a deal with German star Kai Havertz.
Attacking midfielder Havertz completes his record-breaking transfer from Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday. Veteran defender Thiago Silva, 35, is also expected to join the club after leaving Champions League finalist Paris Saint-Germain.
Chilwell has signed a five-year contract worth up to £ 190,000 a week after passing a medical exam which included checks on a heel injury from the end of last season.

The 23-year-old is Lampard’s third major signing, bringing his summer spend to around £ 136million following the signings of Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech and RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.
Chelsea back Lampard in the transfer market as they try to close the gap with runaway champions Liverpool and runners-up Manchester City.
Chilwell has long been Lampard’s No.1 left-back target. Sports messaging revealed in October that Chelsea had become the favorites for his signing following Manchester City’s earlier interest.
Along with Havertz and Silva, Chelsea are also set to sign free agent Malang Sarr, before allowing the 21-year-old French defender to go out on loan. They still remain in the market for a goalkeeper and another central defender. Either Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso will leave after Chilwell arrives.
