This season’s alumni squad will compete for another shot at the show’s $ 500,000 grand prize. This is Big Brother’s second All stars season, following its premiere in 2006 which saw Mike Mallin walk away with the award.
Big Brother Season 22 was scheduled to air in June, according to the show’s tradition, but has been delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With the coronavirus still affecting the United States, the Big Brother the production team has adopted security protocols to ensure the safety of the All stars jeter.
Prior to entering the show’s house during Wednesday night’s premiere, all returning players self-quarantined and received multiple COVID-19 tests. All actors will also undergo weekly infectious disease testing and will not come into contact with team members.
Additional protocol for Big Brother: All-Stars Crew and staff understand regular testing and symptom screenings, PPE requirements, and work packages. A COVID-19 compliance officer will also be on the set to enforce and monitor the detailed measures.
Season 22 of Big Brother premieres Wednesday at 9 p.m. on CBS. After the season kicks off, the series will air Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
