Bruce Prichard recalls why Vince McMahon was not initially interested in signing the Undertaker from WCW, begging Vince to meet Taker

In the latest edition of Something to Wrestle, Bruce Prichard opened up about why Vince McMahon was reluctant to bring the WCW Undertaker to WWE, having to beg Vince to meet Taker, and more. You can read his comments below. On what Vince thought of Undertaker (Mark Callous) at WCW: “We had a reunion I believe in July at one point – around Great American Bash when Undertaker faced Lex Luger – and Taker had a hip dislocation, but worked the game anyway. The next day he was supposed to meet Vince, and that didn’t happen. And that didn’t happen because Vince looked at Undertaker and thought, “Just another tall, red haired basketball player, don’t see anything special. ”

To have to beg Vince to meet Taker: “This meeting was canceled and I begged Vince to please meet Mark Calaway because they were doing a show in the Meadowlands I believe and I offered to bring Undertaker there. I said ‘Look, I’m going to get this guy, come meet him.’ I didn’t know him but I had spoken to Mark and I was a huge fan of Mark’s work. Also, in my head, I had an idea of what to do with him. I had an idea, and it was the talent in my head that could make it happen.
