A young boy has become an unlikely TV star after crashing a live BBC weather report while doing the best dance routine in the background.

Unbeknownst to weather reporter Jen Bartram at the time, the boy couldn’t help but show off some of his dance moves during the show.

Jen presented the weather for a rather windy beach in South Shields as she gave viewers an update on the heat wave that was hitting parts of the country.

During the reporting, the young boy casually walks around the shot where he started his hilarious dance routine, and obviously viewers loved it.

He started his routine with a few t-shirt lifts before turning around, giving the audience a nudge and a few side steps.

It wasn’t until after the fact that Jen realized that the young boy had stolen the show from her, but she didn’t mind at all.

“Little did I know the young boy had overshadowed me with some pretty enviable dance moves during my forecast,” she tweeted.

And the weather anchor didn’t leave her there, as she decided to add music to the clip.

To keep in step with her dance moves, Jen added Up & Down by Vengaboys and Amarillo by Tony Christie to the video.

She added, “Here it is. Pay no attention to me: the real star or the weather forecast was the dancing kid.

Jen’s fans were quick to react to the clip, with some calling the boy a “hero.”

One of them tweeted: “We were crazy to watch this yesterday on Look North. Priceless moment! ‘

Another commented, “I was looking yesterday, this kid got me stitches!” So funny.’

While one added, “Good job, boy from South Shields. “
