Boris Johnson urged to introduce face masks in schools as Eat Out To Help Out program comes to an end

PRIME Minister Boris Johnson is urged to introduce face masks in schools.

Schools are pressuring Mr Johnson by announcing face masks and visors for older children.

The Oasis Academy chain of 52 schools today joined several others in saying their students should wear masks to stop the spread of the virus when schools return next week.

It comes as teachers’ unions have called on the government to review its guidelines on face masks in schools, which currently say they should not be worn.

Meanwhile, the The government’s Eat Out to Help Out program will end on August 31, which means diners will no longer enjoy 50% off meals on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The UK death toll rose to 41,433, with four more deaths reported.
