Berlin police end ‘anti-coronavirus’ protest after 18,000 people rally without masks or social distancing


Massive demonstration against Germany on Saturday in Berlin coronavirus the restrictions were lifted just hours after its launch, as the majority of attendees did not wear face masks or socially distanced themselves as necessary. Berlin police estimate that 18,000 people were present.Berlin police tweeted that they had repeatedly warned protesters to comply with the country’s coronavirus restrictions. Berlin demanded that people stay around five feet apart and that people wear face masks in public spaces and indoor facilities. Public events of more than 1,000 people will not be allowed until September 1st.

Shortly after the warning, police tweeted “unfortunately we have no choice” but to dissolve the protest.
