Barcelona have ‘put the whole team on sale’ except for four players

Barcelona are said to have put their entire squad on sale except for just four players who dodged the ax.The recovery from the 8-2 pounding at the hands of Bayern Munich has already started for the Spanish club, after the loss supported by suggestions that many squad members have passed their prime.

Defender Gerard Pique said after the loss: “This club needs changes, and I’m not talking about the manager, nor about the players in particular. I don’t want to isolate anyone. He needs changes.

“This is the bottom. We have hit rock bottom. ”

Pique even offered to walk away from the club himself if deemed necessary, and he is one of the players on the chopping block according to a Sport report.

The Spanish publication claims Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is planning a mass release at Camp Nou this summer.

Only four players will be retained by the club, with the others all available for transfer.

Marc-André ter Stegen, Clément Lenglet, Frenkie de Jong and Lionel Messi have all been pardoned.

Luis Suarez could even give way to the reshuffle

Barca were already looking to attract offers for a number of first-team stars, including Samuel Umtiti, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal.

But now they’re ready to let some of their star men go as they try to lower the average age of their squad.

As a result, Barca are open to offers for Pique, Jordi Alba Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez, despite knowing they would have to accept reduced fees given that each player is over 30 years old.

The board has also lost patience with the big-ticket signings Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele, and are happy for them to switch to the right price.

Several promising young players from the club will also be selected in addition to the four senior stars mentioned.

Ansu Fati, Riqui Puig, Pedro and Francisco Trincao are all expected to have bright futures and Barcelona will now step up their attempt to upgrade them to senior level.
