Antonio Brown will not appeal his eight-game suspension. He will serve her and then plans (hope?) To play the last eight games.
With whom? Who knows.
The free agent catcher responded to NFL news earlier today on Friday night.
“I look forward to new starts,” Brown wrote on Instagram. “I want to be the best version of myself on and off the pitch, and I’ll do my best to be a great teammate. I appreciate that the NFL gives me the opportunity to continue to work on myself and improve myself.
“I’m thankful and grateful for this opportunity to play a game that I really love and look forward to joining a new team soon. Thanks to my family and everyone who supported me. I will show the fans my gratitude for this second chance by having the best season of my career. # AB2.0 #Himmothy »
Brown hasn’t played since Sept. 15, the only game he played for the Patriots and the only game he played last season. So, when he returns, assuming someone gives him a chance, Brown won’t have played a game in over a year.
The league could still extend Brown’s suspension if new violations are found related to an ongoing civil lawsuit in Florida.
