Aldi Shopper’s Simple Tip to Slow Down Checkout Staff

Shopping at Aldi can undoubtedly be an interesting experience. Whether it’s digging up the 30% discount stickers or spending half an hour browsing special purchases, there are some things that are unique to the supermarket. Another thing you can always expect from an Aldi trip is a fast checkout experience – as its employees are known to scan things at the checkout in record time.

In fact, some people would go this far to describe the payment process at Aldi as “Olympic sport,” and I probably wouldn’t dispute that.

However, there is a workaround if you find it all a bit too quick, and it’s a lot easier than you might expect, according to the Mirror.

During a conversation on a popular Facebook page, a woman revealed how she is solving the problem.

“You can ask them to slow down, I do,” she said. “They don’t mind. And I’ve never had a rude cashier, either. ”

Well, who knew?

Seems like she’s not alone in this theory, as dozens of people have rushed to support her.

“I always ask my local ALDI cashiers to slow down a bit, so as not to get overwhelmed,” said one social media user.

Someone else said, “They always say yes and it’s always very nice, never had a problem. ”

Aldi has his reasons for his cashiers to scan things so quickly, however.

When asked about this, the supermarket explained that staff members are “encouraged” to be as efficient as possible, which helps keep prices low.
