Albert Pujols of Los Angeles Angels wins 2086th career RBI


SAN FRANCISCO – Albert Pujols tied Alex Rodriguez for second on RBI’s career MLB roster with a single in the sixth inning of the Los Angeles Angels game against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday night.Andrew Suarez was knocked out by Pujols in Anthony Rendon as part of the Angels two-run inning. This is the 2086th RBI of Pujols’ career.

Former home run king Hank Aaron holds the record with 2,297.

Pujols remains a home run of under 660 for his career, which would tie him to Willie Mays for fifth place.

The Angels would lose 7-2 for their sixth loss in seven games. At 8-17, they had their worst start in 25 games in franchise history.
