Zack Snyder opens up about Green Lantern’s Justice League debut

Zack Snyder spoke to Green Lantern’s Justice League start. Justice Con continues and fans want to know who they should expect on HBO Max. A number of bodies appeared in the theatrical version of the film, but many viewers found it disappointing as there was no attachment to a singular lantern. This particular Green Lantern conversation arose when talking about merchandise, specifically t-shirts. On some promotional shirts there were a number of hero logos present. A lantern symbol was also present in the mix, but the director played coy when asked about the logo’s inclusion.

All Snyder could say was, “I put that there, didn’t I…” He also made a facial expression before making any comment. This line of questions centered around Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern. Fans are hoping for an increased presence of the two in this new cut of Justice League. Kevin Smith spoke to earlier this year and dropped a few test gems. Fans of Darkseid and the Lantern Corps will be intrigued by his tales.

“I was talking to cats who had visual effects. They had done visual effects on Justice League, ”he told us on Instagram Live. “They saw the boards laid out, very elaborate boards, some of which were drawn by Jim Lee that presented the three films they were going to make. Somewhere he became two. I guess the idea was that the movies were Batman v Superman, Justice League 1, and Justice League 2. There was this vision of a big universe. He said he saw Martian Manhunter on it. He said he saw green lanterns and stuff like that.

“So he broke down the script he could read. The movie they originally shot and then the movie we saw, ”Smith added. “This is where I first heard about what we would call the Snyder Cut. People who worked on the film, special effects specialists, they were like, “Dude, Darkseid was in it. It was in… ”They went through everything. Then we did an episode of Fatman Beyond and we read an article on the internet about someone who said Darkseid was there.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is set to hit HBO Max next year.
