Yesterday afternoon, a 32-year-old mother fell dead from a roller coaster in a theme park in northern France. Her husband allegedly tried to grab her foot, but could not save her.
The couple visited Saint-Paul Park near the Oise, to celebrate their child’s second birthday. The woman was declared dead at the scene, approximately 65 km north of Paris, by paramedics around 1:45 p.m.
In August 2009, a 35-year-old woman died during the same Formula 1 lap after a problem with the safety barrier during a turn.
The park manager, Gilles Campion, was ordered to pay damages and was given a four-month suspended prison sentence for two other incidents.
