A woman died after falling from a roller coaster in France.

Yesterday, the 32-year-old victim was in Formula 1 at Parc Saint-Paul when she slipped on the security bar, according to witnesses.

Her husband allegedly tried to grab her foot but he could not save her.

Witness Farida told a French news site: “My children wanted to get in the carousel, and we heard screams, then I saw the lady, who was strong, fall.

“She went over the bar and her husband tried to grab her by the foot.”

Another person added, “We have seen children feeling sick or crying. Some were at the top when the carousel stopped.

The woman was treated by firefighters but died on the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

The victim was at the theme park to celebrate his child’s second birthday with his sister, mother and husband, according to local media.

The management of Saint-Paul park said in a press release reported by the Sun: “The park area has been completely closed for visitors.

“The teams took care of the visitors and families concerned.

“All the teams join the family to express their deep sadness following this event.”

It is not the first time someone has died or been injured in the theme park.

A 35-year-old woman died on the Formula 1 attraction in 2009 and 15 others were injured when the Nacelle rollercoaster malfunctioned in 2005.
