For Munetsi, his passage at the Stade de Reims in Ligue 1 in June 2019 was unexpected since the Zimbabwean midfielder had only managed a handful of appearances at Pirates, spending most of the time on loan or in the stands.
Talk to KickOff.com Lorch admitted last week that he was still disappointed that he didn’t get a deal overseas.
He said, “I still feel this pain in my heart, you see, and I don’t think it’s something that’s going to end anytime soon.
“For now, it still hurts, especially when I see people like [Marshall] Munetsi playing abroad [for Reims]. It really hurts me.
The forward cited Percy Tau as another example.
“I think I did my thing in Mzansi. I won the player of the season, I went to AFCON, and even then I played well.
“But as I said before, I am still hurt not to go abroad. The likes of Percy Tau went away after becoming player of the season, a lot of players left… so I was expecting the same to happen to me, ”added Lorch.
