If you went to summer camp when you were a kid, you know how important it was to spend those glorious golden days running around the woods and making new friends around the campfire. But with the closure of COVID-19 and the dramatic reduction in the capacity of summer camps around the world, iHeartRadio offers an alternative with their Summer camp with the stars series.
This week’s installation will feature a performance by Kygo and OneRepublic leader Ryan Tedder, who teamed up as camp mates in a three-legged race for “Lose Somebody” from the latest Kygo LP Golden Hour. The album is currently in position n ° 2 on BillboardTop Dance / Electronic Albums.
“One of my favorite summer traditions is to go boating, swim in the lake and have a sunset drink with my friends,” said Kygo in a video clip exclusive to Billboard Dance. Watch the rest of this video below, along with a glimpse of tomorrow’s socially distant performance between the two artists. The full performance will be broadcast tomorrow (July 17) at 5 p.m. ET on the iHeartRadio Facebook page.
Summer camp with the stars is aired every Friday in July and has so far featured AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys who lead a dance class with his daughter and a Noah Cyrus campfire show. Meanwhile tomorrow, Kygo is also releasing their montage of the 1984 Tina Turner classic “What Love Got To Do With It.” ”
