LONDON – Britain is advising people not to travel to Spain and has removed the country from the list of safe places to visit following an increase in COVID-19 cases.
The Ministry of Transport issued a statement on Saturday evening warning that from midnight anyone returning from vacation in Spain should self-isolate.
“Following a significant change over the past week in the level and pace of change in confirmed cases, Spain has been removed from the list of countries where people do not have to self-isolate when ‘they’re coming to the UK,’ the ministry said. for Transport said in a statement.
Those already on vacation in Spain were encouraged to return home normally and consult the Foreign Ministry’s advice pages for more information.
