Donald Trump went on Twitter to claim that Black Lives Matter protesters angry at the police murder of George Floyd would have wiped out the city of Minneapolis if he had not sent the National Guard to stop the protests, also battling with CNN’s anchor, Chris Cuomo and Dr. Anthony Fauci as he seeks to distract himself from the resurgent coronavirus.
Dr Fauci warned Thursday that the United States “is not going in the right direction” after the country reported 55,000 new Covid-19 cases in one day, breaking the world record for a daily increase set by the Brazil on June 19.
The states of Arizona, California, Florida and Texas alone accounted for 25,000 of this total, as Assistant Secretary for Health Brett Giroir pointed out: “We are not ‘flatten the curve right now. The curve continues to climb. “

He also taunted Cuomo – who recently recovered from Covid-19 and is the brother of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo – with the insult “Fredo”, comparing him to the character of Judas of The godfather, part I and II played by the great John Cazale, a slam the journalist has not been kind to in the past.
The President also reiterated his claim that “massive” testing efforts are to blame for the rise in the coronavirus, applauding the falling death rate (only 130,000!) And reiterated that the vote by mail is ripe for fraud and could lead to a crooked election result in November (that is, a Joe Biden victory).
