“Toronto FC announced today that the team’s trip to Orlando, Florida has been postponed,” the statement said. “This morning, a member of the Toronto FC travel team reported experiencing symptoms to the team’s medical staff. The person is isolated at home and assessed virtually by the team’s medical staff.
“The entire Toronto FC travel group will undergo another round of testing and will not travel to Orlando until the results of these tests are received. More travel information will be provided when available. ”
Toronto has already delayed its initial flight from Friday to Saturday.
In addition, the Vancouver Whitecaps’ opening game against FC Dallas was postponed after six FC Dallas players tested positive for COVID-19.
The first match of the TFC will take place on Friday against DC United.
