Dolph Ziggler has a chance to become a WWE Champion and if it was a decision left to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, it would happen.
Of course, Ziggler will challenge WWE champion Drew McIntyre for the strap this Sunday at the Extreme Rules à la carte event in Orlando, Florida.
WWE has yet to confirm the stipulation of the contest as Ziggler is supposed to choose it. However, he has publicly stated that he has no plans to reveal it before the PPV.
The WWE Instagram account shared a photo of Ziggler holding the WWE title. After the photo was posted, The Rock commented on the post in which he shared his thoughts on the possibility of Ziggler becoming WWE Champion.
“I would co-sign this decision [one-hundred percent]Rock wrote. “Talented guy and always has a spark in his presentations. ”
This led McIntyre to see the comments from the former WWE Champion and responded using one of Rock’s signature lines, “It doesn’t matter what you think. ”
It should be noted that the future WWE Hall of Famer also praised McIntyre. In fact, he said last July that he believed McIntyre could be WWE’s next big superstar. Fast forward to 2020, McIntyre is the top RAW brand champion.
