Ragweed, or in French ambrosia, is an invasive plant which causes allergic reactions in humans which can sometimes be quite intense.It produces a massive amount of pollen which can cause runny noses, itchy eyes, or even asthma or eczema.

According to the regional health association (ARS), this costs the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the most affected by pollen, around 40 million euros per year. This includes the cost of medical consultations, treatments, days off, etc.
