The cops continue to probe the secret cellar of Hanover “where evidence hidden since 2007”

German police have ended their forensic investigation into a plot in Hanover in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Investigators have been looking for land between Hanover-Ahlem and Seelze-Letter since Monday, prosecutor Julia Meyer confirmed.

They unearthed a housing estate where the prime suspect – Christian B – allegedly lived in a trailer for a short time between 2007 and 2008.

Cops also searched an underground cellar which has remained untouched and intact since Madeleine’s disappearance in 2007 – although the building above ground was demolished that year.

They were pictured removing two dumpsters full of concrete blocks and a children’s bucket.
