The “brushing” scam on Amazon is quite serious according to BBB

“The fact that someone may have had the items sent to you as if you had purchased them suggests that they have some of your Amazon account information. They probably have your name and address, and possibly your phone number and password. “”If your credit card is linked to your Amazon account, scammers could use it to buy the products delivered to you.” In the end, they get the money for the purchase, the increased sales, and apparently all positive reviews. ”

BBB informs anyone who purchases anything from Amazon that if something is wrong, call BBB and report any issues.
