On the strength of their 12-year partnership, Arkema SA (Colombes, France) and SUEZ (Paris, France) renew their contract for the next three years, for a turnover of 38 million euros. SUEZ will manage and recover around 60,000 tonnes of waste per year. This partnership will ensure the continuity of Arkema’s activities and contribute to its economic and environmental performance.

This new contract is part of SUEZ’s Shaping SUEZ 2030 strategic plan, which aims in particular to accelerate growth with industrial customers and to deploy innovations and digital solutions in high added value activities.

Under this contract, SUEZ is developing solutions aimed at optimizing the management and recovery of all industrial waste produced on 20 sites located in France. Nine experts will oversee the day-to-day performance of the contract, led by Industrial Waste Specialties (IWS), a SUEZ entity specializing in the management and recovery of hazardous waste in Europe. In close collaboration with Arkema’s Environment departments, the IWS teams are committed to getting things done and reducing the environmental footprint.

Beatriz Mendez, Arkema Vice President of Goods and Services Purchasing, commented: “In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Arkema has fully mobilized to ensure the continuity of its activities in an effort to provide essential products and services to strategic business sectors. SUEZ teams have also mobilized, playing an active role in the field to treat and recover waste. In doing so, they have ensured that our production chain remains uninterrupted and helped us to ensure continuity of service. ”
