“I’ve said it before, Drake is about to release in the next six months, Drake is about to get by far the biggest bag in the history of the music industry. A and B, they don’t want that to happen. Because the day that happens, they might as well shut down the business.

“If Drake becomes independent, the music business is over. If Drake becomes independent, the musical business is over. ”

Drake is currently signed to Cash Money through Republic Records, owned by Universal Music Group.

“Drake downloads“ God’s Plan ”to a digital distributor, so whatever the money: less than 10 dollars, right? Alright, pay for the beat – $ 10,000, $ 20,000, $ 30,000, $ 40,000, whatever f – k – and to be mixed: four racks. So you are all, $ 50,000 in mind. This song, you own it forever and you get paid every week, you earn a million dollars a week on this song. It’s different. If Drake becomes independent, this whole industry is turned upside down. This is why I am independent, I broadcast music independently. I’m f – k this whole industry. ”
