Coronation Street the spoilers follow.
Coronation Street villain Geoff Metcalfe makes a dubious promise to change his habits next week – and there’s a real danger that Yasmeen will believe it.
Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) is about to reconnect with Yasmeen because he cannot cope with the loss of control over her since she went to jail.
The coming episodes see Geoff cheating on his distant wife in a telephone conversation by stealing Alya’s mobile phone when Yasmeen has to call from prison.
Geoff then takes the opportunity to speak to Yasmeen, telling him that he still loves her.

The crafty schemer also promises that he will “forgive” Yasmeen for attacking him and drop the charges if she agrees to become his wife again.
As we have previously revealed, Geoff later goes to the police station and announces that he would like to withdraw his statement, as well as dropping all charges against Yasmeen.
Geoff is informed that the final decision will be made by the prosecution, regardless of his request.
Despite this, it seems that Geoff’s gesture has already done the job, while Yasmeen unfortunately begins to fall under his control.

Alya (Sair Khan) is horrified when Yasmeen calls him from prison, telling him that Geoff’s decision makes him think he’s really sorry for everything.
Yasmeen plans to retake Geoff, leaving Alya afraid of what might happen next.
Later in the week, Yasmeen’s prison friend, Lucie, also got involved in the situation by handing her a contraband phone.

Lucie encourages Yasmeen to call Geoff and show him who the boss is.
When Yasmeen does, Geoff again promises that everything will be different when she comes home. He claims that he will even seek professional help to solve his problems.
Yasmeen ends the call and doesn’t know what to believe anymore. Will she fall for the manipulation of Geoff?
