Sheffield United 1 Wolves 0 – Player ratings

Rui Patricio

Beaten by Egan’s head just to death. Didn’t do anything wrong, but also didn’t perform exceptional backups. 6

Willy Boly

Followed by an uncertain performance against Arsenal with another shaky display. A clear example was when Sharp easily turned in front of him at the start of the second half. Really out of character for him. 5

Conor Coady

A voice presence everywhere. Not his best game either, with a few passes going astray, but making a few blocks. 6

Romain Saiss

Don’t stand out like he did before the break. I could just get things done. 5

Matt Doherty

The side wings of United were brighter than those of the Wolves. Doherty had some brilliant moments but they were rare. 6

Joao Moutinho

Arsenal was his worst performance of the season and while he is certainly better than that, he still hasn’t done much. 6

Ruben Neves

Had a tight first half and vibrated the crossbar with a nice free kick, but its impact diminished in the second as the Wolves struggled to climb the field. 6

Jonny Castro Otto

Difficult night for the Spanish. Baldock was so busy at the bottom right and Otto had a hard time facing him, as well as Basham’s overlap. 5

Adama Traore

Deserves the credit for continuing to dislocate the shoulder for the fourth time this season. Caused a moment or two of panic but nothing sustained. 6

Raul Jimenez

Wolves number 9 was barely involved again. Nice film for Jota in the first half but nothing other than that. 5

Diogo Jota

Showed quality glimpses in the first period with his direct run that put United on the back foot. Unfortunately, he could not continue in the second half. 6

Leander Dendoncker (for Traoré, 79)

A defensive change that didn’t work. 5

Not used: Ruddy (gk), Kilman, Vinagre, Buur, Jordan, Gibbs-White, Podence, Campana
