Search for missing star Glee resumes on Lake California

LOS ANGELES – Search for “Glee” TV star Naya Rivera in a lake in southern California ended on Saturday with no results, authorities said.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet on Saturday evening that the excavation of Lake Piru would resume on Sunday morning.

Authorities said Thursday they thought Rivera, 33, had drowned in the lake. Her 4-year-old son was found alone in a rented boat.

The boy, who was found asleep and wearing a life jacket late Wednesday afternoon, told investigators that he and his mother went swimming and got back on the boat, but “his mother never out of the water, “said the sheriff’s sergeant. Said Kevin Donoghue.

Rivera started playing at a young age, but she drew national attention by playing a teenage lesbian on “Glee,” which aired from 2009 to 2015 on Fox.
