The RANGERS are set to face Hamilton in their first pre-season game Friday morning.
Steven Gerrard’s team will face Accies behind closed doors in its Hummel training center.
The clubs will use different XIs for the two halves of the game, which should see new hires in the Gers, Calvin Bassey and Jon McLaughlin, make their debut.
The match will give Gerrard team play time before traveling to France for next week’s double header against Lyon and Nice.
Accies is planning a similar closed door game against St Mirren next week.
Meanwhile, former Ibrox star Kyle Lafferty opened up discussions about the transfer he had with Gordon Strachan during his tenure as patron of Celtic.
The international from Northern Ireland was making its breakthrough with Burnley when Strachan came to call.
But he says he could never have returned to his hometown if he had gone to Parkhead.
He said: “Obviously Celtic, the massive club, the chance to win trophies, cups, the Champions League.
“It was difficult to refuse a club like that but I don’t think I could have gone home.
“It would have been so difficult. I was in the Northern Ireland team, I was a young boy, a rising star on the team!
“I think it would have been difficult for me and my family also in Northern Ireland, just with everything that went with it. “

“I spoke to Gordon, Gordon phoned me and spoke to me. He said “listen big man, Celtic fans hated me, but look at me now, they love me! ”
“No, he talked to me, he said all the right things. But I couldn’t have done it. Fortunately, the best team in Scotland came to strike. “
