The Duke of Cambridge and The Duke of Sussex have agreed to share their mother’s memorial fund with each other as they finalize the details of their separate professional lives.

An official agreement signed between the Royal Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Foundation and the now-extinct Sussex Royal Foundation provides for the Diana Memorial Fund to be divided among the independent charitable activities of the brothers.

For years, they have used the fund for the benefit of their common passions.

The new arrangement is part of the final settlement between the Cambridges and the Sussexes when they share their professional life. In 2013, Princes William and Harry – then working together on the Royal Foundation – agreed to take joint control of the fund to protect his name and see his future income used for good causes.

The fund received £ 21,346 in 2019, remaining at £ 21,583 in 2018.

The foundation’s accounts, detailing the financial activities of the past year, indicate that as of December, future funds would be shared equally between the late Diana, the two sons of the Princess of Wales, to be spent on their independent philanthropic interests .
