The former American police officer accused of the death of George Floyd told him to stop shouting and to hold his breath while kneeling on his neck and Floyd gasped for air, according to a recently published transcript of images of the police body camera. The death of Floyd, a black man, in police custody on May 25 sparked protests and protests against racism against police brutality in the United States and around the world, with protesters calling for racial equality and reform policewomen.

“Tell my children that I love them. I’m dead, ”said Floyd for almost nine minutes as the officer knelt on him when he was lifeless.

Floyd pleaded for help when he was grounded, according to the transcript released on Wednesday as part of an application to the Minneapolis State Court.

“I’m through, through. I am claustrophobic. I have a stomach ache. My neck hurts. Everything hurts. I need some water or something, please. Please? I can’t breathe the agent, ”he said.

“You’re going to kill me, man,” said Floyd.

Derek Chauvin, the officer who knelt on Floyd, replied, “So stop talking, stop shouting, it takes a lot of oxygen to speak. ”

Chauvin, who is white, was arrested on May 29, four days after Floyd’s death. He pleaded not guilty to second degree murder and manslaughter.

Three other former Minneapolis police officers, white, black and Asian American, were charged with being an accomplice in the affair.

At one point, one of these officers, Thomas Lane, suggested that Chauvin roll Floyd on his side, according to the transcript.

“No, it stays where we found it,” replied Chauvin.

The four officers were dismissed from the Minneapolis Police Department. None of them pleaded guilty in a brief hearing on June 29.

The transcript was released as part of Lane’s attorney’s efforts to have him accused of aiding and abetting the murder of a judge-thrown Floyd, according to US media reports.
