But his supporters were less than impressed with the post, many pointing out that Piers had spent the majority of the coronavirus pandemic criticizing the government for not enforcing stricter rules.
It seemed to be the farthest thing from her mind as Piers beamed for the camera as she held her cup of coffee.
He captioned the message: “Finally back in my second office!” It’s been 4 long months… never has a coffee been so good. @Cafephillieslondon. ”
His supporters rushed to comment on the photo, some criticizing him.
One of them posted, “Why are you doing this ?! I thought you were interested in the 60,000 who died Mr. Morgan !! Enjoy your coffee but I just don’t understand…[sic] »
“So irresponsible,” said another.
A third wrote: “I thought you were so against everything that opened up. Hypocrisy. ”
Mirror Online contacted Piers representatives for comments.
Others were much more complementary, with only one writing: “Enjoy Piers … thank you for speaking for most of us, much appreciated. “
Another said, “Take advantage of it so deserve it.” We appreciate the way you speak for ordinary people x. ”
Piers has been one of the most vocal critics of the government’s management of the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier this week, he called health secretary Matt Hancock “pathetic” for refusing to appear on GMB.
