Manchester United star Paul Pogba has suggested staying at the club this summer after the Red Devils sealed a place in the top four.

A 2-0 win over Leicester put United in third, ahead of Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.

United were 14 points behind Leicester just 12 games ago, but a sensational run saw the Red Devils finish in the top four.

Pogba was due to leave the club this summer after asking twice to leave in the past two years.

However, the pandemic means few clubs will spend big this summer and there isn’t a buyer available who could combine transfer fees and Pogba’s salary to lure him away from Old Trafford.

This clarification has helped Pogba in recent weeks as his performance, as well as his body language, has improved.

And the Frenchman dropped the latest clue that he should stay at the club by posting on his Instagram after his side’s 2-0 win.

“Let’s go Champions League baby,” Pogba said. While Pogba may have just been celebrating the club’s return to competition, many fans take it as a strong suggestion that he will still be at the club as they once again compete against top Europeans.

Pogba has one year to complete his existing contract, although the club can extend that by 12 months, meaning he effectively has two years to run.

United are keen to extend Pogba’s deal and want clarification on his situation ahead of next season.

Pogba, for his part, feels comfortable at the club and was carried by the arrival of Bruno Fernandes.

The Portuguese playmaker was a revelation at Old Trafford and his arrival allowed Pogba to play in a deeper central position which also improved his mood.
