New case of COVID-19 in Manitoba Saturday 12 this week


WINNIPEG – Health officials report that a new case of COVID-19 was identified at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, marking 12 new cases this week. The total number of laboratory confirmed and probable cases now stands at 337.

Data on the number of active cases, people recovered and tests administered will be updated on Monday.

By Friday, 318 people had recovered from the virus in Manitoba. The death toll remains at 7.

Public health officials announced on Friday that people may have been exposed to COVID-19 after a case traveled to multiple locations in Manitoba when they were symptomatic.

Earlier this week, the province also announced several cases in two Hutterite settlements.

So far, nearly 74,000 tests have been administered in the province since February.
