Zindzi Mandela, the daughter of South African anti-apartheid icons Nelson Mandela and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, has died, the public broadcaster SABC reported.
She died in Johannesburg Monday morning at the age of 59.
The death was confirmed by a family source, reports the SABC.
She was the South African ambassador to Denmark at the time of her death. The cause of his death was not immediately revealed.
“The 59-year-old daughter of former president Nelson Mandela and staunch wrestler Winnie Madikizela-Mandela died in a Johannesburg hospital in the early hours of the morning,” said SABC.
She was the sixth child of Nelson Mandela and her second with Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
