Neil Young wrote a letter to President Trump and updated the lyrics to one of his famous songs just days after he rejected the President’s use of his music during a July 4 event in the tracks from Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.

The Canadian-born rock star criticized Trump in an open letter posted on his archival website on Monday denouncing the president for using his music and urging him to play on an updated version of 2020 from his album “Looking for a Leader,” which was originally released in 2006.

“Although I have asked you several times not to use my music as it indicates that I support your program, you have always played my songs anyway during your gatherings, regardless of my rights, even when calling me names on Twitter, ”started Young. in the open letter titled “A Letter to President Trump”.

After Young complained in 2015, Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told Fox News that the campaign had legally obtained the rights to use Young’s song.
