The PSC does not believe that Naya Rivera committed suicide after listening to what her four-year-old son has to say about her disappearance.
They say that by speaking with Josey, they found absolutely no evidence to support any suggestion that the popular Glee star could have committed suicide.
The 33-year-old man is presumed dead after missing from a boat on Lake Piru in Ventura County, California on Wednesday.
However, officials are now convinced that his mystery disappearance is nothing more than a tragic accident.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Office sergeant Kevin Donoghue told People, “We interviewed her son and learned nothing from her son that would have suggested that this was suicide.
“Everything we have learned so far has led to it being a kind of nautical leisure accident.
“To say definitively what really happened, we really can’t say. We just don’t know, it’s a mystery, ”he added.
“We are still investigating, we are still searching. We are trying to uncover clues as we go along.
“But so far, we really don’t have a lot of information to guess what could have happened. ”
He also said it was unclear whether Josey had climbed back into the boat himself or whether Naya had helped him get in.
He revealed, “I know it was in the water. I don’t know if she helped him get back on the boat. I do not know. ”
On Wednesday, Josey was found alone sleeping on the drifting pontoon three hours after he and his mother left together on the water at around 1 p.m.
The little boy was spotted shortly before 5 p.m. by an employee of a boat rental company, who alerted the authorities.
Rescuers reached the boy soon after, sources told TMZ the child said the mother “jumped in the water but didn’t come back”.
His life jacket was apparently still in the boat and Josey was sleeping when the ship was first found.
The divers searched the lake until dark, but could not find the actress, who starred in 113 episodes of the hit music series Glee from 2009 to 2015.
The sheriff’s office later said that “it may well be drowning.”
We reported how the family of the Glee star was united in pain on Saturday as they attempted to connect with the missing actress.
Naya’s mother, Yolanda Rivera, was photographed on her knees in front of the lake where her daughter would have drowned.
Naya’s ex-husband Ryan Dorsey joined the emotional scenes, wading through the tears in the water.
He found Naya’s father, George Rivera and his brother Mychal, who entered the water fully dressed in an attempt to reach the missing star.
Together, the family took a boat on the water, joining in the desperate search for Naya.
Ex Ryan was seen crying by the lake while other members walked towards the place of beauty with a heavy heart.
On Thursday, officials moved from search and rescue to a recovery operation.
The Lake Piru recreation area, located about 55 miles northwest of Los Angeles, offers boat rentals, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
The 1,200-acre reservoir with a 12-mile shoreline in the Los Padres National Forest has been the site of numerous drownings over the years.

Tragic deaths include that of Naftoli Smolyansky, 39, who drowned after saving his fallen five-year-old daughter.
Smolyansky was with his children by the lake when his daughter fell from the boat, reports say.
Steve White, former lifeguard at Ventura State Beach, described the dangers of the lake.
“Someone is going to come to the beach, maybe wade a bit, get into a deeper hole or get caught in a rip current and they start to panic,” he said.
