Good that true Ice cream connoisseurs know there is no need to make excuses to have fun, July is conveniently National Ice Cream Month, declared by President Ronald Reagan in 1984. Even more festively, the National Ice Cream Day is celebrated every year on the third Sunday in July.
In honor of the occasion, some of America’s top-selling ice cream brands recently shared the scoop on their most beloved flavors with Fox News.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ICE CREAM AND GELATO?

A Blue Bell spokesperson said that while the highest flavor “certainly varies from market to market”, some of the brand’s bestsellers include Homemade Vanilla, Cookies’ n Cream, Dutch Chocolate , Great Divide (a mixture of chocolate and vanilla) and Cookie Two Step.
According to a representative from Breyers, customer favorite flavors are natural vanilla, chocolate, a Neapolitan blend of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, followed by Oreo, mint chocolate chips, pecan, and natural strawberry.
Similarly, a recent Breyers poll of 2,000 Americans found that vanilla lovers (69%) and strawberry lovers (51%) are mostly introverted, while chocolate lovers can be introverts or extroverts (50%), depending on respondents’ results.

The most popular flavor in Häagen-Dazs stores right now is Cookies and Cream, a spokesperson said. Vanilla, Dulce de Leche, Belgian chocolate and chocolate flavors follow in popularity.
Turkey Hill Dairy
At Turkey Hill, the scoop is that the brand’s top five sellers are vanilla pod, chocolate mint sprinkles, homemade vanilla, pecan butter, and cookies and cream, said a rep:
In a mind-boggling fun fact, the brand’s representative revealed that Turkey Hill produced 30 million gallons of ice cream last year, which is enough to give every man, woman and child in Pennsylvania 112 scoops to celebrate the National Ice Cream Day!
