Now Meghan is going above and beyond to protect her friends, who were roped up in drama after agreeing to speak anonymously to a magazine last year about the Duchess.
Meghan Markle’s relationship with the press has been tumultuous
Once Meghan and Harry started dating, it didn’t take long for the press to catch up on their relationship. And from that moment, the life of the duchess changed. Meghan was still living in North America when the tabloids learned that she was dating kings, and from there she was constantly photographed and followed.
After marrying the family and obtaining royal security, things did not improve. Meghan was more in the spotlight than ever, and cruel headlines made it difficult for her to win the audience. In addition, she was constantly compared to Kate Middleton.
Duchess’ court documents recently revealed that she did not feel protected
In early fall 2019, Meghan and Harry filed a lawsuit against Mail On Sunday and other tabloids for invading the privacy of the Duchess, including by publishing fragments of a personal letter to her father, who, according to Meghan, was intentionally altered to make it look bad.
Now, recent court documents have revealed that Meghan felt “unprotected” by the royal family while she was pregnant with her son; she felt that she could not defend herself against negative media because of the family’s unwritten rule of “never complain, never explain”.

Meghan is now doing her best to protect her friends from being named
Court documents also reveal that Mail On Sunday is said to be trying to uncover the names of the five friends who spoke in favor of Meghan in anonymity for a People Magazine article in 2019. According to The Telegraph, Meghan is fighting for their protection. The Duchess says that Mail On Sunday’s attempt to identify the friends is “vicious” and “poses a threat” to the women.
« [The women] More than a year ago, I made the choice to speak anonymously with an American media, to defend myself from the intimidation behavior of the British tabloid media, “said the duchess in a press release. “These five women are not being tried, and neither am I. “

The case is a reminder that Meghan and Harry cannot totally escape the royal family
Meghan and Harry could settle into a more private life in Los Angeles, California, but that doesn’t mean they’ve completely escaped the royal spotlight. In fact, this trial obviously still weighs heavily on both of them, which clearly shows that, despite their attempts to escape the grip of the royal family, it has not been so easy.
It is not known when the matter will be settled, but Meghan and Harry are unlikely to see ultimate peace until they have passed the trial.
