Manchester United are said to be listening to offers for Alexis Sanchez, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard and Diogo Dalot as they seek to raise funds for possible newcomers this summer.

Executive Vice President Ed Woodward warned supporters that the transfer market may not be a decision due to the financial repercussions of the coronavirus crisis, but the club should continue its plans to strengthening of its team.

Borussia Dortmund and British sensation Jadon Sancho remain Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s number one target, with a striker on the right at the top of United’s wish list, and the Red Devils are also determined to step up their options at the center and at the front.

Seven members of the first team have crossed the exit of the Theater of Dreams since Solskjaer took over the reins of Jose Mourinho in December 2018 and up to six other players could follow in the next few weeks.

According to The telegraph, Sanchez, Smalling and Rojo – which have been loaned to Inter Milan, Roma and Estudiantes respectively – are considered surplus and have all been sold by the giants of Old Trafford.

The report says Jones, Lingard and Dalot are also considered “dispensable” as Solskjaer prepares to handle the ax during a major overhaul.

The Red Devils are currently paying £ 175,000 a week for Sanchez’s huge salary despite the club’s last appearance in Chile over a year ago.

The heads of the United States are desperate to remove the attacker from the payroll and are also open to the prospect of a permanent departure for Smalling after his impressive period of loan to the Stadio Olimpico.

Discussions have taken place over a potential £ 21m deal that would see the central defender permanently join the Serie A squad in 12 months.

The international English duo Lingard and Jones have done little to convince Solskjaer that they have a future at Old Trafford and have only made 11 Premier League starts this season.

Dalot, meanwhile, whom Jose Mourinho hailed as “the best young back in Europe” upon his arrival from Porto in 2018, has since fallen in hierarchical order significantly, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams all impressive. term.

Lingard is thought to be able to raise the highest funds of the six players up for sale, and Premier League and overseas teams are closely monitoring the midfielder’s situation.

Gary Neville is convinced that United is back in the right direction under Solskjaer and says that his former club is only “three out of four” quality signings far from being able to compete with Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title.

“This team is much nicer than the one that was here two years ago when you thought United’s recruiting team had lost its direction,” United’s right-back said recently. Sky Sports.

“But there is still work to be done in the transfer market to make this team a title-winning team – which must be Manchester United’s ambition.

“We need more and much more. Three or four high quality Bruno Fernandes type players to get them to the point where they can challenge.
