Kanye West reportedly dropped out of the 2020 U.S. presidential race – less than two weeks after announcing his intention to run.
According to New York Magazine’s Intelligencer, Steve Kramer – who joined Kanye’s campaign team to vote for the rapper in Florida and South Carolina – confirmed that the Yeezy star would not run against Donald Trump and Joe Biden for President.
“It came out,” said Kramer, the publication reported.
When asked more details about what had happened, Kramer replied, “I’ll let you know what I know once all of our stuff has been canceled.” We had over 180 people today. ”
The electoral strategist also refused to be intercepted when asked for his opinion on the 43-year-old rapper, saying, “I have nothing good or bad to say about Kanye.
“Everyone has their own decision as to why they make decisions. One of the most difficult things to contemplate for someone at this level is running for president – any first-time presidential candidate goes through this hiccup. ”
According to Intelligencer magazine, Kramer also noted that the staff hired by Kanye “were disappointed not only because they would be unemployed, but because they were excited by what a Kanye West campaign represented.”
Kanye celebrated America’s Independence Day by confirming his plan to run for the White House in 2020, with Tesla boss Elon Musk as an adviser, and it was later revealed that he would present for the brand new birthday party.
Musk later said he thought it would be better if the father of four tried his luck in 2024.
