The office of French President Emmanuel Macron will announce the composition of the new government on Monday, according to an Elysée official.

The move comes after former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe and his government resigned on Friday and Macron appointed Jean Castex to replace Philippe.

Macron and Castex are expected to meet Sunday evening at the presidential palace of the Elysee Palace to discuss the new government, according to the official. It will be made up of around 20 ministers and deputy ministers, with additional Secretaries of State to be announced at a later date.
